Belt Installation for your Board

Guide on how to install your belt

(Keep scrolling down the page till you see your board)

Preface [Read Me]: Belt tension affects belt life and board acceleration and braking. A loose belt will cause belt slip and it will break the belt quickly. It is loose if you feel and gear clicking of the belt during braking. Always test ride and retention. Too tight = slow board.

Boosted Board Belt Installation

Tools needed:

  • Belt(s)
  • 3mm Allen Key Wrench
  • Skateboard tool or 1/2" mm socket for wheel nut

Step 1: Remove the wheel nut with the skateboard tool or 1/2" socket/ratchet

Step 2: Remove Belt Cover with 3mm allen key wrench.

Step 3: Loosen (4) motor bolts with 3mm allen key wrench.

Step 4: Remove old belt and install new belt over the wheel gear and the motor gear. Remember to not lose the spacer and the washer. So important.

Step 5: Add tension to the belt. Move the motor away from the wheel and you'll add tension to the belt. You should only have 1/4 inch of belt play when you press on the belt with 1 lb.

Step 6: While holding the motor (thumb on wheel and index and middle finger pulling away on motor, you need to tighten the motor bolts.

Step 7: Test ride. A loose belt will cause belt slip and it will break the belt quickly. It is loose if you feel and gear clicking of the belt during braking. Always test ride and retention. Too tight = slow board.
